How did i get here?

People often call me a leadership, culture, and transformation expert. I appreciate that, but it didn’t happen overnight. One of my favorite quotes says it best: “It took me all my life to become an overnight success.” And whew, if that ain’t the truth.​

Whether at a CHRO roundtable, mentoring at a conference, or in an interview, the question always surfaces: How did you get here? 

The answer? It’s been a journey. From entry-level HR to the C-suite. From community spaces to boardrooms. Incredible people, pressure moments, and unexpected pivots have shaped my path.
